FAQ

Here I've compiled a small FAQ filled with all the questions I've received over the years, all in one handy little place. I'm sure it's something that will be updated as time goes by, if you haven't found the answers you're looking for feel free to shoot me a message :]

When did you start reading comics/what got you into comics? - I've always had an interest in comics. I grew up watching things like Batman the Animated Series, and X-men, as well as hoarding every single superhero related action figure my brother ever received. I remember reading the Watchmen as my first ever comic (which was a school assignment believe it or not) and falling in love from there. It wasn't until I lived in Philadelphia for a year, that I actually began to read them. I had a friend in the city who worked at a shop and he encouraged my reading of everything.

Where do you buy your comics? I try as best as I can to buy all of my *new* comics locally. I'm a firm believer in giving back to small business. So every other week I take the 40 minute drive to Wilmington to a shop ironically called THECOMICBOOKSHOP, to pick up my weekly comics. If I'm looking for a particular variant that my shop may not be carrying I turn to Midtown Comics. For specific back issues I may be looking for I turn to either a local second hand store called 2nd and Charles or to MyComicShop.

What comics are you currently reading? I'm hoping that by the time you read this I'll have some super duper nice page all set up that I can edit and change depending on what comics I've added and dropped. If such an awesome page should exist by now, you can find it here.

DC or Marvel? - DC all the way. I mean I don't hate Marvel....but I prefer DC.

What are you favorite comics? - Oh god so many that it's kind of disgusting. I'm sure at one point I'll do several posts convincing you all to read my faves but until now here's a quick and handy list. Batman, Green Arrow, Saga, Sex Criminals, Rat Queens, Red Sonja, Dejah Thoris, John Carter, Batwoman, Jessica Jones, Birds of Prey, Snotgirl, Power Girl, Secret Six, Suicide Squad, Painkiller Jane, Plutona, We Can Never Go Home, Black Canary, Paper Girls. Like I said there's so many more, but there's a few to start.

Who drew your lovely icon? - My icon was created by the lovely Tabby @Tabrakadabra and can be found on Twitter and Instagram!
